Sunrise

Morning comes the sunrise

Emanating from celestial skies

Beautifying the earth for those

Looking on in replete repose

The birds awake to greet its rising

With songs from their heart’s appraising

Feeling gratification for the heavenly glory

Which reveals life’s hidden story

The flowers be-sprinkled with dew

Rejoice anew

Lifting up their petals with pride

Happy to be on eternity’s ride

When the day is done

All eyes turn toward the setting sun

As the day bids farewell to the light

And announces the coming of night

When at last the night embraces the earth

With venerable mirth

Gazed upon by the moon and stars

Pitying earthling man the folly of his senseless wars
