Wild Flower

Wild Flower

O lovely pagoda flower, free and wild
Like an undaunted child
Fearing not the coming of tomorrow
Knowing for you it holds no sorrow

In the mornings you arise fresh and free
To be visited by the birds and the bee
The wind caresses you with sweet delight
Proclaiming to you it has a equal right

The sun smiles at you from above
Reaching down with rays of warmth and love
The beauty of your golden hue
Makes the passersby stop to look at you

When the evening comes to say hello
And the sun is but a sleepy glow
You bend your head in awe to the fading light
Ready to share your fragrance with the night
